About
The existing deck was a pressure-treated pine platform that had started to rot after 15 years. The homeowners wanted a low-maintenance outdoor living space they could actually enjoy without constant staining and repairs. We tore out the old structure and built a wraparound composite deck with hidden fasteners, integrated LED railing lights, and a covered porch section with a tongue-and-groove ceiling. The new stairs include code-compliant railings and a built-in storage bench. The composite material carries a 25-year warranty and will never need staining.
